We now have the new four way stop in SV and the speed limit of Cedar Village is now down from 50 to 30 km per hour. This was a project initiated by the Sunshine Valley Ratepayers Association and huge thank you should go out to Mernie Jacobson who worked with the Dept of Highways to see this project through. Sunshine Valley should be a little safer for all.

UPDATE - Sunshine Valley Draft Zoning Bylaw
Your input is needed!
The FVRD wants to hear your opinion on the proposed Sunshine Valley Zoning Bylaw. There are a number of ways you can learn more and tell us what you think:
1. Survey
· Complete the survey online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZoningSurvey
2. Public Information Meeting
· Sunshine Valley Recreation Centre
· Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:00 am
3. Visit our website for a copy of the draft bylaw, FAQ’s, background reports, and up to date news.
· http://www.fvrd.bc.ca/InsidetheFVRD/CommunityPlanning/Pages/SunshineValley.aspx
Zoning will:
· Not affect day to day use of existing residential-recreational properties; and,
· Require community input on major land use changes and developments.
What next?
After consideration of the community survey, the FVRD Regional Board of Directors at their May 28, 2013 meeting will decide whether to;
a. Move ahead with the bylaw (including bylaw amendments) to 2nd reading and hold a Public Hearing, or
b. Defeat the bylaw, or
c. Some other treatment of the bylaw (ie. defer).
The FVRD will keep the community informed of their decision through updates to the FVRD Sunshine Valley website and community emails.
